Dump Truck Blues: Battle Cry of The Wanderlust is a fusion of Hip Hop, Funk, Soul and Blues to create a new canvas of music called "The New Blues." Avenging Wind, formerly known as Fathom 9, takes the listener on an eclectic ride through the multiverse of soul and sound.
"Why 'Dump Truck Blues'?
Because just about every form of artistic expression that exists was never given a name by those who practiced it. And while names and genres make things easier to categorize and access, there are all of these constructed walls that are built around the essence of that which is being expressed; it now has definition, and therefore--limits.
Dump Truck Blues, while being a label/genre itself, is a space created SOLELY by the artist, and in that space the artist retains sovereign agency. Specifically--Dump Truck Blues--while having 'Blues' as a part of its name--seeks to create a 'New Blues Narrative': one that celebrates the individuality of the artist's expression of their truth, and the very insurgency to status quo.
What does Dump Truck Blues sound like???
Whatever the hell it wants to sound like!"
This project would not have been possible without the faith and support of a select group of individuals who kept their proverbial (and sometimes literal) foot in my ass, and did not give up on me--even when I wanted to give up. I have grown artistically and personally as a result of this project, and I the hunger is ripe with newness. The names below hold a special place in my heart:

How can an unseen force be described? Simply--it cannot; it must be experienced.
This is, Avenging
Originally from Memphis, TN-Home of the Blues, we find him still ardent in his process, and through a musically alchemical fusing of Hip Hop, Soul, Funk/-Jazz and Blues doused with fierce lyricism, Avenging Wind speaks through an innovative medium he simply refers to as: New Blues....more
What does it take for me to make you understand?!
You're dealing with a god-force that's more than a man
With a sword in my hand
forged from the flames of pain
and the blood of the slain who still die in your name!
covered with false flags
and these demons who still profit
of weary bones from broken backs
Y'all niggaz voted for that!
Even sold ya soul out for that
hoping the rains of change would pour
Ain't nothing but more wars
Reality Show whores
and the rich devastating the poor more
the world is hardcore
and the people done turned cold....
